On the 24 June 2010 Alun Eaglen (owner of Spick'n'Span
Services) attended a carpet & upholstery cleaning
course. After sitting an exam and passing, he became an
approved member of The National Carpet
Cleaners Association (NCCA). Now fully qualified he has
invested in the very latest truck mounted carpet and
upholstery cleaning machine, which is a lot more
powerful than the portable machines and is totally
self-contained. This machine has its own petrol engine,
water tanks, two heat exchangers to heat the water,
250ft of hose and a pressure pump which is capable of up
to 1000 psi. The machine gets the cleaning solution deep
inside the pile of the carpet to loosen up all
the particals of grime and dirt, which the powerful
vacuum then sucks up to make your carpets fresh & clean
and almost dry to the touch.
Major upholstery manufacturers recommend a
professional cleaning every 12-18 months to maintain
appearance and to prolong the life of the
upholstery.
